Julia G. Prescott is an associate attorney at Coulson P.C. Originally from Long Island, New York, Julia moved to Michigan in October 2023. Julia was admitted to the New York bar in April 2023 after graduating law school in May 2022. Julia dedicated most of her law school career to public interest legal work. She was an advocate for survivors of domestic violence and New York City parents who were wrongfully accused of child abuse and neglect. During law school, Julia co-authored an open-source criminal law textbook with Dean Michael Simons of St. John’s Law in an effort to make the criminal law course material more accessible to all students. Additionally, Julia served as the Executive Articles Editor of the Journal of Civil Right and Economic Development.
After graduation, Julia gained litigation experience at a general practice firm where she worked on numerous cases concerning trust and estate planning and litigation as well as commercial, real estate, and construction litigation. After moving to Michigan, Julia wanted to get into more impactful legal work and joined Coulson P.C. in order to protect the interests of ordinary citizens against atrocities committed by large and unethical corporations.
